Leadership Superior Group Pitches In
One of the Superior/Douglas County Leadership Groups selected fixing up the Four Corners baseball field as their project to work on. The group consisted of Steve Kimmes-Holden Insurance;Jessy Huset-National Bank of Commerce;Linda Cadotte-City of Superior;Mike Ryan-Challenge Center; and Kim Kowalik-Saratoga Liquor.
Steve Kimmes met with John Jarnis, school principal of Four Corners Elementary to approve ball field upgrades.
The field is used by approximately 500 kids, ages 6-13. Four Corners Elementary School also uses the field, and thousands of spectators come to cheer on the teams each year.
Fifty games and 2 tournaments are held at the field each year.
The following is a list of necessary repairs to get the field ready for the baseball season:
 Repair and paint benches |
 Make numbers for the scoreboard so it is functional. |
 Paint the concession stand blue and yellow to match Four Corners baseball team colors. |
 Clean up rocks from winter plowing. |
 Measure and install base anchors and pitching mound. |
 Measure and install base anchors and pitching mound. |
